Terms of Use
These terms explain how you may use ExpiryMate and how the optional ExpiryMate Pro subscription works.
1. License agreement (Apple Standard EULA)
ExpiryMate is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of ExpiryMate is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). By downloading or using ExpiryMate, you agree to the Standard EULA.
This page adds information about the app and its subscription. It does not replace the Standard EULA. If anything on this page conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.
Your use of the App Store, including purchases, is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. What ExpiryMate does
ExpiryMate helps you keep track of expiration and renewal dates and can schedule local reminders on your device. ExpiryMate is an organizational tool only. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, insurance, or immigration advice, and it does not renew, verify, or manage any document, policy, or service on your behalf.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the dates you enter and for renewing your documents, policies, and subscriptions on time. Reminders depend on your device's notification settings, Focus modes, available storage, battery, date and time settings, and iOS behavior, so delivery cannot be guaranteed. Please do not rely on ExpiryMate as your only reminder for important or time-critical deadlines.
3. Your data
The content you enter stays on your device and remains yours. The developer does not host or back up your data and cannot recover it if it is lost, for example if the app is deleted or the device is lost without a backup. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. ExpiryMate Pro subscription
ExpiryMate can be used for free with limits (up to 5 active items and 1 reminder per item). ExpiryMate Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional features, including unlimited active items, multiple and custom reminders, custom categories, a custom "Expiring Soon" threshold, recurring renewals, category filters, export and import, and insights.
| Plan | Billing period | Price |
|---|---|---|
| ExpiryMate Pro Monthly | 1 month | Shown in the app and on the purchase screen before you confirm, in your local currency |
| ExpiryMate Pro Yearly | 1 year |
Payment and automatic renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Prices may vary by country or region and may change; Apple will notify you of price changes as required.
- Any free trial or introductory offer, if offered, is described on the purchase screen. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Cancellation
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in ExpiryMate under Settings > Manage Subscription. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and the subscription will not renew. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, and the developer cannot issue refunds or access your payment information. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or see Apple's guide Request a refund for apps or content. Refund decisions are made by Apple under its policies. If Apple refunds a subscription, Pro access for that purchase ends.
When Pro ends
If your subscription ends, all of your items and data stay on your device and remain editable. Free plan limits apply again: you cannot add or restore more than 5 active items, and each item keeps 1 scheduled reminder. Pro-only features become locked until you subscribe again.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall ExpiryMate or use a new device signed in to the same Apple Account, tap Restore Purchases on the Pro screen or in Settings to restore an active subscription. Family Sharing availability, if any, is shown on the App Store.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use ExpiryMate only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Standard EULA and the App Store's Usage Rules. You may not reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except as permitted by the Standard EULA or applicable law.
6. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
Disclaimers of warranty and limitations of liability are set out in the Standard EULA and apply to ExpiryMate to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time, for example when features or subscription options change. The effective date above shows when they were last updated. Changes do not affect subscription periods you have already paid for.
